Mt. Zion Varsity Bulldogs took the lead late and defeated Grady 5-4 on Saturday.  The game was tied at four with Mt. Zion Varsity Bulldogs batting in the top of the seventh when.

Mt. Zion Varsity Bulldogs got things started in the first inning.  Raymon Vaughn grounded out, scoring one run.

Grady evened things up at four in the bottom of the sixth inning when PlayerB grounded out, scoring one run.

Vaughn took the win for Mt. Zion Varsity Bulldogs. The righthander went three innings, allowing three runs on three hits and striking out two.

PlayerE toed the rubber for Grady. PlayerE lasted three and a third innings, allowing four hits and three runs while striking out four.  PlayerA threw three and two-thirds innings out of the bullpen.

Robert Wright started the game for Mt. Zion Varsity Bulldogs. Wright went four innings, allowing one run on four hits, striking out four and walking one

Mt. Zion Varsity Bulldogs saw the ball well today, racking up seven hits in the game.  Marquis Mitchell and Jalen Dixon each racked up multiple hits for Mt.Zion Varsity Bulldogs.  Dixon and Mitchell each managed two hits to lead Mt. Zion Varsity Bulldogs.  Mt. Zion Varsity Bulldogs was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Jordan Douglass made the most plays with  six.  Mt. Zion Varsity Bulldogs stole 11 bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Mitchell led the way with five.

PlayerH went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Grady in hits.  Grady didn’t commit a single error in the field. PlayerE had  two chances in the field, the most on the team.  Grady tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. PlayerC led the way with four.
